It was listed in Device Manager, so I decided to right click and uninstall all the controller drivers from the Device Manager hoping it would reinstall them and work properly. It was working fine before idk why its not anymore. I got a new Xbox One over the weekend and decided to use it on my PC for some of my PC games as well. Its kind of hard to search for this issue online as i get mixed results and none have the exact problem im having. But if i plug my controller in with a USB then boom, perfect. If you have an older Xbox One controller, or you just want to use your newer one with Microsofts proprietary wireless connection instead of Bluetooth (and get. But if i start a game up then the game doesnt recognize the controller and it doesnt work. I started pressing buttons like crazy trying to t get a response and i actualyl managed to get Steam Big Picture Mode to start up and inside of the application im able to use the controller perfectly fine. I uninstalled and reinstalled all my drivers, bluetooth, controller, ect. Ive tried every trouble shooting there is to try. Well my GPU died and i havent used my computer for awhile but i just got a new graphics card today and connected my controller via bluetooth and noticed i couldnt navigate the menu. When you move the sticks on desktop you can actually navigate the menus. It worked exactly how they work when plugged into the PC with a wired connection. I will consider moving the router if picking a channel doesn't help, but this seems to have solved it.Okay so when i first got my Bluetooth card and connected my xbox controllers everything worked great. Moving to channel 165 seems to have resolved my issue, as does turning the 5GHz radio off. My problem seems to have been the result of interference in the 5GHz range from the nearby router. The XBox 360 controller with a wire is just about the best thing you can use in this situation.

Okay so when i first got my Bluetooth card and connected my xbox controllers everything worked great. My old 360 wireless controllers work perfectly but they suck. Xbox one controller bluetooth on my PC works but doesnt work. I'm just desperate for a solution because NONE of the suggestions on the web work for me. I've had this problem on all of my games for several months, and now I'm forced to use a wired connection to use these controllers. IF I COULD LOCK OR DELETE THIS POST I WOULD. You can try connecting your controller to USB port on the back of your PC to resolve this problem. Sometimes the PC not detecting Xbox One controller issue can occur because of your USB port. The USB cable may not be compatible with your controller. THE STUFF BELOW IS ALL OLD AND CAN BE IGNORED. Your Xbox One controller driver gets corrupted or missing. Perhaps dropping the controller affected the wireless connectivity, but replacing the controller made this vanish forever. The problem I have is with the controller, it does show Xbox One Controller in the controller customization, but when I select it the cursor starts scrolling up and when I go into the game the camera just spins around. READ THIS FIRST: Ultimately I believe my controller was damaged and I replaced it, fixing this issue completely. I havent played it since on XBox 360, and I would really like to play it again.
